DIY green tea scrub to get rid of dead skin cells

Green tea scrub is perfect for giving you a rejuvenated look by removing impurities from your face. Get rid of dead skin cells as well as dirt using this natural scrub.

Green tea is one of the best things you can include in your daily diet. It not just soothes the senses, it also aids digestion and helps in weight loss. But it also makes for a wonderful beauty ingredient and is perfect for those looking for instant results. What’s great is that you can use it in multiple ways as well

Today, we share with you a green tea scrub that you can quickly make at home to get rid of dead skin cells.

Ingredients needed:

  • Green tea bag – 1
  • Sugar – 1 to 2 spoons
  • Hot water – about one cup
  • Cotton pads
  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Cup

Method:

Place the green tea bag in the cup and then pour hot water on it. You don’t have to fill in the cup completely, half full is fine. Let the solution cool down and come to room temperature. It will take about 15 to 20 minutes for this. You need to ensure that is not hot or warm but normal temperature or else the sugar will dissolve in it.

Now in a bowl, add one to two spoons of sugar depending on where all you want to use the scrub. In it, add the cooled down green tea using a spoon. Don’t mix it, let the sugar soak in the liquid. The scrub should have a grainy texture so add only as much is required. Cut open the green tea bag and add a few green leaves in the bowl as well. Now mix it gently so that it is evenly combined with the sugar

To use the scrub, you can use a cotton pad or your fingers. Gently massage the face, neck and any other areas using the green tea scrub. Do this in circular motions so that the dead skin cells come off. Once you have exhausted the scrub, wash the face, etc with warm water and then pat dry your skin.

The scrub can be made and used once every week to keep your skin looking young and beautiful. And if you have sensitive skin that runs red due to sugar, you can swap it with powdered brown sugar which is less grainy and does not feel too harsh.
