Ben Stokes stole the show as he was snapped up by Rising Pune Supergiants for Rs 14.5 crore, a record cost for an abroad player. It was a decent day for England as Tymal Mills was gobbled up for Rs 12 crore by Royal Challengers Bangalore. It was a decent day for the pace bowlers with Trent Boult and Kagiso Rabada going at a decent cost. For India, Karn Sharma was the most costly purchase with Rs 3.2 crore while any semblance of T Natarajan got Rs 3 crore. Remember every one of the highlights of 2017 IPL Auction here

The Indian cricket group bowlers ricocheted back in the last session of the day as England bumbled to 198/7 at stumps on Day 1 in the fifth and last Test at the Oval on Friday. Pacer Ishant Sharma was the pick of the bowlers for India scalping three wickets for 28 runs. Individual pacer Jasprit Bumrah and spinner Ravindra Jadeja picked two wickets each. Hosts England lost wickets with hardly a pause in between in the third session as they were diminished from 123/1 to 198/7 in a matter of moments. Playing his goodbye Test, Alastair Cook remained the best scorer of the day scoring 71 runs while Moeen Ali (50) indented up his thirteenth 50 years. Adil Rashid (4 not out) and Jos Buttler (11 not out) were at wrinkle when umpires chose to consider it daily.
