50 lakh liters of liquor was burnt on the new year by the Uttar Pradesh enthusiasts!

Welcoming the new year, the liquor enthusiasts of Uttar Pradesh got 50 lakh liters of alcohol on New Year's Eve. An Excise Department official said that this sale was registered on New Year's Eve. On the first day of 2019, information about the sale of liquor is being raised. Departmental data show that sales on liquor shops doubled almost on December 31. It does not include alcohol consumed by people in homes and hotels. On the eve of New Year 31 lakh liters of country liquor has also been sold.

Figures show that 18 million bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) are sold and beer sales have reached 23 lakh bottles. The excise department told the agency that on the eve of the new year last year, this year's increase was seen compared to the sale of liquor. According to the excise department data, every year liquor sales are very high on Holi and earlier on New Year's Eve. Figures show that on an average every month, 16 million bottles of IMFL and 29 million bottles of beer are sold.
