Problems With Viral News Today- Karsoo

Body

The news industry today puts a whole lot ofeffort in making sure that the latest viral news is captured and spread aroundon all social media platforms, without wasting even a second.

It won’t be an exaggeration to say thatviral news today rules the charts. Be it a small incident or a big accident, the shelf life of these news’s are a maximum of few days. Once the news goesviral on all social media platforms, it reaches a saturation point.

That’s when a new news is captured and thecycle of viral news goes on and on and on.

Whathas changed?

To be honest, earlier the news had somedepth and gravity to a particular topic. The chosen topic used to be studiedand researched well. After that a news was crafted and presented to theaudience. Even the response was noted to make changes and come up with a betterstory next time.

But, now all people care is about the next latest viral news. They don’t care about anything but what’sthe most in trend and viral thing on social media. All they need to know is thespicy gossip or any special viral story that is grabbing the attention ofreaders across the country, if not world.

Howhas viral news affected the people?

To make you understand, how the business ofviral news is flourishing, let me give you a very practical example. Have youever received a forward message or video on you social media profile, or WhatsApp,or an email?

The message or video might contain somerequest or might be full of some strong content. But the point is, mostly, inthose messages, the sender wants you to send it to at least 5 or 10 people. Ifyou have received any such message, you know what I am talking about.

Most of you end up forwarding it to peoplewho are on your whatsapp, but have you ever tried to check the authenticity ofit? Have you even put your mind to the possibility that it might be a fake?

If not, you should. The next time youforward a message or video, just think once before doing so. Because that’s howthe industry of viral news is growing with leaps and bounds.

What’snew in viral news India?

Viral news in India flourishes in the samemanner. A small video recorded in an unknown village ends up becoming the nextviral thing and within a matter of hours the entire country is watching andtalking about the same video.

Buthow does this happen?

The entire credit goes to the smartphoneswhich are available to almost every other person in India. Once a case, accident, incident, stunt is recorded, the aim of the person becomes to make itthe next viral thing. This is aided by the multiple social media platforms thatare easily accessed and accept anything that the user uploads.

This in turn allows the video to startcirculating on the platform. And within a matter of days, the same video startsdoing rounds almost everywhere.

But the problem is, nothing ever isachieved out of it. No one takes these viral news’s seriously and never takesomething good out of it.

Inconclusion:

It is much needed that people don’t justread and forget about latest viral news. What needs to be done is, to take alesson out of each incident and incorporate things in one’s life to make itsafer and more sensible. Instead of following a viral trend and hurting oneselfor others, just for the sake of becoming famous.

If people actually start learning fromviral news and making some good changes in their lifestyle, there is a chance, that in future, viral news would be the tool to make India a better place.
